Post Jack Martin/Larry Glaze passings
on: June 4, 2019, 12:25

I am quite sad to report the deaths of two friends of the club. Jack Martin, who with his wife Debbie had just recently joined the club, passed away suddenly on May 25th at their home in Peel Arkansas, while Larry passed away at his home in Carthage May 26th.

Jack was an all around car guy, with an emphasis on Lotus. He was the manager of "The Shop" for Jim and Kathy Cox of the Branson Auction. If you attended the Branson Auction you had seen him taking care of problems on the floor, while Deb was up front making that go smooth. I also knew him from vintage racing. He was a very active member of the Peel Volunteer Fire Dept; the club will be making a donation to them in his name.

Larry Glaze was a longtime supporter of the club, having attended the car show many times, and having us out to his house for a great cookout a few years ago. He was a world famous artist, using animal antlers, logs, etc. to make unique pieces. Of course he as a car guy as well. He supported Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks; the club will be making a donation to them in his name.

The two will be missed greatly....

The silent auction at the show banquet raised a total of $720, which will be evenly divided between the Peel Fire Dept and the Breast Cancer Foundation.
Special thanks to Moss Motors and Victoria British for their generous donations that made this possible, along with the club members who donated items for sale.
