Post Custom hydraulic line
on: November 16, 2015, 12:17

I bought a kit to install a Toyota transmission into my Triumph. Unfortunately, the kit was not quite complete and I was left to source/fabricate several components on my own. One of these is the hydraulic line from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder.

I've got copper/nickel brake lines and would like to get a copper/nickel line for the clutch made up so that it will match the others. It needs to have the bubble flare for the Girling master cylinder and a metric double flare fitting on the Toyota slave cylinder. I'd prefer not to have to buy the flaring tools just so I can make one line. Does anyone in the Springfield area make custom lines?

Thanks

Cecil

Might consider trying O'Reilly, Yarbrough or Horton Supply to make up the line. Maybe the old Springfield Brake place. O'Reilly may have the bubble flare tool to loan for free. Do not know if it is a metric or SAE tool or both. All I know, good luck. MGJoe

I should have enough stuff to flare the line if you have the fittings for each end. I do not have any extra line on hand right now. Voris Hydraulics can also help with custom lines. Give me a holler if I can help. Dan

Thanks for the advice. I contacted Voris, I'll get some line and get them to make up a line.
